Moon and amaryllis lilies
My grandmother’s name was Marillis (like the lily) and when she had Alzheimer’s before she died the only thing she could remember about me was not my name or my parent, but that we used to look at the women in the moon together, hence the moon.

Bull with rose in mouth
The bull (I need some extra courage and strength at the time). The bull is a Spanish bull – a “TORO”, strong courageous, and my father was born in Spain. The bull – I am a Taurus, the bull, love the bullshit – the rose symbolizes my soft sweet side.

Stazja - her feet at birth
stole the certificate of birth from the hospital to take to my tattoo artist. Added her name, date of birth and time of birth (astrological meaning). Butterflies signify each baby lost (miscarriage) before having my daughter.

Tree autumn...still in progress
started in October 2008 after the death of my grandmother. She died the first day of fall. We used to drive to in the country to see the changing trees. Trees are vulnerable, strong, see and hear everything and always stay grounded like my grandmother.
